Construction Manager for the Westbound Bypass Tunnel, a key project within MTA’s $11.1 billion East Side Access Program to tunnel under the East River connecting Grand Central Station to Queens. East Side Access is one of the largest transportation infrastructure projects currently underway in the United States and one of the most complex transportation projects ever undertaken in New York City. The Westbound Bypass is a 630-foot steel-framed, concrete-enclosed, jacked-shield tunnel beneath active LIRR mainline tracks. Managed, coordinated, and administered project from commencement through substantial completion final acceptance and project closeout. Chaired progress meetings, authorized progress payments, prepared monthly progress reports, reviewed, and approved Contractor submittals. Coordinated between MTA, LIRR and Amtrak. Worked closely with MTA Counsel and represented MTA at Dispute Resolution Board hearings and update meetings.
